So, how did the cute couple meet? Corabeth's mother had died, and she came to stay with the Waltons for a bit. John noticed that Ike had fallen in love with her and he invited Ike for dinner one night. A week or so later, they were married.
Later, they adopted Aimee Louise. In a Thanksgiving reunion movie, we learn that Corabeth and Ike have just become grandparents to a little baby girl named Beth.
Ike and Corabeth are probably the most realistic couple in the whole show. They have their problems, their fights, their wandering eyes... But they always come back to each other.
