Maja van 't Oever (understudy) started her vocal study at the age of 14 at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. During her studies, she sang various concerts with Willy Caron, Henk Kreukniet and Harry Peeters. She also had acting-lessons from Trins Snijders. She sang several times for the NCRV-radio and cooperated various concer-operas. After that, she had private lessons from Wilma Driessen, Ruth Horna , Guus Hoekman, Coby Riemersma, Lily Loerkens and Max van Weegberg. She has been with the Hoofdstad Operette for ten years, in the chorus as well as in solo-roles like Franziska Galgliari in Wiener Blut, Diana in Orpheus in der Underwelt and Sylviane in Die Lustige Witwe. She also co-founded several ensembles which she takes part in herself as well, like Comedia Cantata, Wiener Melange and the Mahagonny Ensemble. She has also been a solo-guest with several operetta-groups.
