With English National Opera Margaret has appeared as Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Vixen (The Cunning Little Vixen), Ninetta (Love For Three Oranges), Second Nymph (Rusalka) and Nymph (Orpheo). With Opera North she has sung Diana (Orpheus in the Underworld) and the leading role, Susan Cooper in the British premiere of Kurt Weill's Love Life (recorded for Radio 3). With Scottish Opera-Go-Round she performed Elizabeth (Don Carlos) and Wanda (The Grand Duchess of Gerlostein). For City of Birmingham Touring Opera she has sung Woglinde, Helmwige and Woodbird (The Ring Saga), Musetta (La Boheme) and the Young Sister in Stephen Oliver's Beauty and the Beast. She has appeared at the Covent Garden Music Festival with ENO's Contemporary Opera Studio Soundbites, which included Judith Weir's mini opera for solo soprano, King Herald's Saga. She has performed Alice Ford (Falstaff), Fiordiligi (Cosi Fan Tutte) and Adina (L'Elisir D'Amore) for English Touring Opera.
Abroad she has sung Amore/Lucillo in Provnzale's Lo Schiavo Di Sua Moglie, Adina in Donizetti's L'Ajo Nel Imbarazzo and Barbarina the leading soprano role in Jonathan Dove's L'Augellino Belverde (a sequel to Love for Three Oranges, directed by Richard Jones).
She sang the role of Oriano in Handel's Amadigi with Opera Theatre Dublin at the Opera Comique, Paris, and with the same company, Queen of the Night (Magic Flute) and for the Buxton Festival, Clarice in Haydn's Il Mondo Della Luna. Further recent appearances with Opera North have included Despina (Cosi Fan Tutte), Papagena (The Magic Flute) and Mary Turner in the Gershwin British premiere of Of Thee I Sing, also recorded for radio.
Margaret regularly appears on the concert platform covering a wide variety of music, oratorio to opera, operetta and cabaret.
Margaret has recently appeared in A Man of Feeling by Stephen Oliver with City of Birmingham Touring Opera and in a series of concerts with the Northern Chamber Orchestra.
