FYI: The webring has moved to www.crickrock.com. PLEASE join our webring there as we will eventually be deleting the Yahoo! Webring.

is a webring?
is the Virtual-Phantom Webring about?
join?
can join?
do I join this webring?
do I do after I join?
do I do to change my site information?

is a webring? It is a special little bit of HTML code that you add to your webpage. Using this code, websites are linked together in a ring so people can 'surf around the ring' to different websites.

is the Virtual-Phantom Webring? It's a webring for all of the people who are on the Virtual-Phantom Mailing list. We have been roleplaying together for years now, and we thought it was time we finally linked all of our personal pages in a webring!

join? It's simple: more traffic to your site! For example, if Joe's site is popular and someone sees that he is on a webring, that person may decide to continue surfing the web by going through the webring of related pages. This increases traffic to people whose pages don't receive many visitors. It also looks great to show that your page was accepted into a webring!

can join? Anyone who is or has been a member of the Phantom of the Opera roleplaying list "Virtual-Phantom." This list started out on Karin Willison's Phantom mailing list, until it got its own home at oakland.edu.

do I join this webring? It's simple! Just fill out this form. Log-in to www.crickrock.com and click on the link that says 'get code'. (If you do not know how to log in, please go here.) Also, you can find the code (just 'save as' the page and take the HTML code) here. Please download the images below and put them with your website files on the web. Don't link to the images here, they will not work. Make sure you download all *three* images.

do I do after I join? Just wait for us to approve your siet to be in the ring. We don't ask for much, as long as you are/have been a member of the mailing list and put the code up on your page is good enough for us.

do I do to change my site information? Go to the Main page. Enter the ring id (virtualphantom), your site ID number (it will say on the page after you submit your application or in the email you receive), and your password that you added when you filled out your application form.
