Frederick Heringes was born in California where he attended the Pacific Conservatory (PCPA). His varied repertoire has encompassed a wide range of musical styles including leading roles in operetta (Die Fledermaus, The Gondoliers), grand opera (Of Mice and Men, Der Freischutz), musicals (Carousel), and concert (Mozart Requiem, Beethoven Ninth). In 1992 he was honered to be a finalist in the Luciana Pavarotti International Vocal Competition. Engagements include the Toronto cast of The Phantom of the Opera;Greater Miami, Chautauqua, Glimmerglass and Houston Grand Opera companies; as well as concerts with the New York Oratorio Society in Italy and Greece, the Westfield Symphony and the Aspen Music Festival. This marks his Broadway debut.
