Larry Wayne Morbitt (Ubaldo Piangi), a native of Southern California, comes to Broadway from the national tour of Phantom, which he joined after spending two years with the Switzerland production. He started his career as a back-up singer at NBC studios in Burbank, working with Della Reese, Johnny Mathis and Sarah Vaughan. He has performed with opera companies and symphonies throughout the country, singing various Mozart, Puccini and Lehar roles. Musical theatre credits include leading roles in Kismet, West Side Story, My Fair Lady and She Loves Me. The primary thrust of Larry’s career has been in the area of special events and conventions. He sings his solo act for major corporations all over the world and has performed for such notables as the Vice President of the United States, the former Empress Farah Diba of Iran, and the late Ginger Rogers. He has recently been seen in national TV commercials and can be heard singing on the PBS series “Wishbone.”
